Field Notes

The 2000xx Type-I from Warehouse & Co falls under their incredible new 'Dead Stock Blue' range. This 1940's inspired model is cut short in a boxy shape, and is cut from a 13.5oz denim which has been specially developed by the brand to be as close to vintage denim as it possibly can be. The smooth and crisp finish of this beautiful fabric will age brilliantly over time, creating a feeling that this piece has been sent forward in time.

This model has all of the iconic features that we know and love from the Type-I trucker; it boasts a single chest pocket with flap, durably held together with vintage punched copper rivets, a five-button front with a selvedge button plate, and those iconic sewn-in pleats. The back of this jacket boasts a brilliantly authentic, custom made cinch, with intricate, period-correct detailing which can be used to easily adjust the fit, and a heritage style, vegetable-tanned, deerskin leather patch adorns the neck with the brand's logo. The attention to detail that Warehouse has applied to this product is really staggering and will be the closest thing we might ever see to an original 1940's dead stock piece of denim history.

Garment Care

How to Wash
Step 1

When you’re ready to wash your jeans, button the fly and turn them inside out. Doing up the fly ensures the jeans maintain their shape, and turning them inside out avoids unwanted marks from the washing machine drum on the indigo.

Step 2

Place the jeans in your washing machine with neutral detergent, and set them on a non/low-spin wash at cold–20 degrees for raw, or up to 30 degrees for pre-washed. High spin may cause unwanted 'lightning fades', and washing too hot can cause excess shrinkage, so it’s important to follow these steps carefully!

Step 3

Once your jeans are done washing, hang them somewhere safe and allow them to air dry. Putting your jeans in a tumble dryer has a high chance of degrading the fabric and misshaping your jeans. Make sure wherever you hang them has proper drainage, as you’ll be expecting some indigo runoff.
